Misc. Writings

While my 'Gary the Gryph' series has its own section, my other written pieces can be found here. They range from crazy stories to humorous articles, so I'm sure you'll find something interesting for everyone.

Humour

Is Link a Time Lord? - A rather bizarre little humour piece comparing Link from the Legend of Zelda with the Time Lords from Doctor Who.

National Novel Writing Month

Since 2004, I have taken part in National Novel Writing Month, which - despite its name - takes place worldwide every November. Participants are challenged to write a 50,000 word novel during this time, which is a lot harder than it sounds. Although I can end up a wreck by the end of the month, I take this opportunity as a chance to throw out ideas and themes that I may not otherwise use.
Each story you see below has been written during the event, followed by one full edit, and the occasional check-up edit. Because of this, do not expect masterpieces. Expect plot holes, expect possible continuity errors, and expect the sort of wackiness of someone who is desperately trying to come with new ways to keep her characters busy and to keep the story going. Above all, relax and enjoy!

Sword of Destiny (2004) - FireHawk sets up an 'Adventurer-for-Hire' business, and ends up being drawn into a legend involving a goddess' sword and two warring tribes.
Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four Part Five

The Star Man (2005) - The life of young farm hand Nigel is strange enough already, but now he has to deal with killer lizards from outer space and a cocky intergalactic hero!
Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four Part Five

Men and Monsters (2006) - When a medium threatens to unleash a swarm of demons onto the world, a werewolf takes it upon himself to stop him.
Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four Part Five

Angel's Quest (2007) - After falling from the magical Sky Kingdom, an angel embarks on a mission to retrieve his lost memories and rediscover his reason for falling to earth.

Twilight Princess: The Continuing Legend

Picking up some time after the video game The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess left off, this is a series of stories chronicling the adventures of Link, Midna, and Zelda. Bear in mind these are just fan works done in appreciation of the characters, settings, and story of the Zelda series, and is in no way affiliated with Nintendo.

The Return of the King - When it seems all is well in Hyrule, the evil that once plagued the land makes an unwelcome comeback.

Wolf's Oath - Ilia finds more than she bargains for when she tries to figure out the truth behind her friend's transformation.

Survival of the Fittest - While Midna suffers an attack from Ganondorf, Link finds himself protecting a unicorn from a hunter.
