Gary the Gryph

Gary The Gryph is my own original series about the life of a gryphon and his dragon friend. Gary was first created in 2003 as a sort of simple, mascot-type character, but as time went on I decided to give him some friends (and enemies), and started writing stories that attempted to present a different view of the creatures that appear in myths, legends, and fairy tales. That they are simply trying to get on with their own lives, and very few of them are interested in terrorising villages or kidnapping beautiful maidens (there are exceptions to this, naturally).

For Gary, life is difficult enough without the so-called 'heroes' running around trying to kill whatever big, ugly monster they find. But that's what you have to deal with when you're half-eagle, half-lion, and the perfect scapegoat for every bad thing that happens.

Although there is a copyright notice at the bottom of every page, I just thought I'd remind you that this series, its characters, and its settings belong to me. Theft of these characters, stories etc, will not be tolerated. You have been warned.

Start exploring the world of Gary the Gryph by reading one of the stories below...

Episode One - Gary learns that Dave has befriended a human princess and fears for his life.

Episode Two - A camping trip doesn't fill Gary with much joy, especially when he finds that the forest's nocturnal inhabitants just won't let him sleep!

Episode Three - Gary tries to make his mother and his girlfriend get along with each other.

Episode Four - When Gary leaves his cave after an argument with Dave, he finds himself in human territory.

Episode Five - Gary is forced to get a job of his own when it becomes apparent that he's spending just a little too much money.

Episode Six - Gary finds himself dragged into the world of swords and sorcery when he meets wannbe-hero Lance Fireblade.
